Drink Pink at Rosé in the Rose City

Summer is only two weeks away, and while the weather is failing to cooperate as usual, as intrepid Portlanders, we still doggedly believe that sunny skies and long, warm nights beckon. (Right?? Hey, you! Unpack that U-Haul and un-commence Tuscon migration at once!)

roseintherosecityBut even the most faithful summer daydream believer can use a little liquid inspiration, and right around this time of year, a good buzz never hurts either. Hallelujah for the North Willamette Vintners‘ first ever Rosé in the Rose City, an official Rose Festival-sanctioned wine tasting event dedicated entirely to the consummate summer sipper–(good) pink wine.

On Thursday, June 14th, from 5-8pm, you can sip rosé (and Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and sparkling wines, for those who also like wine that is white) with 18 local wineries including David Hill, Montinore, Patton Valley, Elk Cove and Ponzi, at Montgomery Park in Northwest Portland, and if you like what you taste, you can buy it on the spot and stock your summer cellar.

Tickets to Rosé in the Rose City are only $25 (and can be had by clicking here), but if you want to win a pair, by all means head over to the UTTWJ Facebook page, make sure you’re a Liker, and answer the super hard qualifying question.
