Happy Hour

“No bees, no honey; no work, no money,” goeth the proverb. Since this greatest of necessary evils known as Work afflicts most of us at some point or another in our lives, thank goodness some brilliant person invented Happy Hour, an affordable way to effectively drown one’s secular sorrows until they stop kicking. But not all happy hours are created equal. To earn Under the Table approval, a happy hour has to have some meat on its bones, with drink AND eat specials that will not only help you unwind when the whistle blows, but can stand in as a very enjoyable dinner, just in case you don’t have the energy to drag yourself home afterwards and whip up a roasted lamb or even so much as a batch of Trader Joe’s taquitos.
