There are some things in life that can only be fixed with a scoop or three of creamy gelato or a peanut butter chocolate shake, things like broken hearts and gianduja cravings and bad dates and having to work on Wednesdays, wait, make that having to work at all. I am still waiting to hear of the enlightened employer who offers their hard-working, long suffering minions free run of an on-premises gelateria or soda fountain. This would seriously trounce Google’s free onsite haircuts, massages, and French classes, and I would apply at such a company at once. In the meantime, you can get your egg cream, butterscotch sundae, fro-yo with fresh blueberries, and ice cream cake fixes at these laudable local institutions of all things sweet, cold, fizzy and creamy.
