Coffee & Adventure in Western Tanzania @ red e cafe
For the past year, Stephen Vick has been working with a team from Sustainable Harvest, in western Tanzania, on a long-term development project improving the quality of the coffee produced by the Kanyovu Cooperative near Kigoma, Tanzania.Stephens particular work has focused on implementing quality contol systems for the cooperative, which represents around 5000 farmers Daily lot separation at 18 different washing stations resulted in somewhere around 800 lots for Stephento cup. In conjuntion with the development process, Stephen worked closely with two Tanzanians from the cooperative, training and empowering their eyes and senses to the tune of quality control, for better coffee.
