Kick Off PDX Tiki Month at Trader Vic’s

It has come to my attention that August is to be hereby referred to as “Tiki Month,” which is fine, because “August” is kind of hard to say after six or seven Mai Tais. Here are the details:

Who: Trader Vic’s Portland

What: Grand Opening to the public and mayoral proclamation

When: Monday, August 1, 2011

Doors Open to Public: 3:00 p.m. – midnight.

Mayoral proclamation: 5:30 p.m.

Where: Trader Vic’s, 1203 NW Glisan St., Portland

Why: A celebration of Trader Vic’s return to Portland. DJ music, hula dancers and a fire dancer will perform throughout the evening.

Thatch Tiki Bar, Teardrop Lounge, Clyde Common, The Gilt Club and El Gaucho will all be serving a special tiki drink during August to observe Tiki Month.  More information here.
