Negroni Week Kick-Off at Imperial

Kick Off Negroni Week in Portland at Imperial

Join Imbibe  and Imperial on Monday, June 2, for an extended happy hour event to launch this year’s Negroni Week festivities in Portland. Negroni Week—June 2 – 8— is a worldwide event where participating bars and restaurants donate $1 or more from every Negroni (or variation) sold to a charity of their choice. Currently, 34 Portland bars join the list of 800 + participants around the world, including Imperial.

During the happy hour, which launches Negroni Week in Portland, we’ll be sipping special cocktails—Negronis of course—from guest bartender Douglas Derrick, also founder of Nostrana’s annual Negroni Social, and Imperial’s presiding barman and Negroni Week supporter Brandon Wise. Joining them will be Salt & Straw ice cream, who has partnered up with Campari and Aviation Gin to create a Negroni ice cream for the event. Beefeater and Aria gin Negronis will also be available for $5, and the limited-edition Negroni ice cream will be available for $3. And, in the spirit of Negroni Week, a portion of the proceeds will go directly to the Red Cross.

Join us and celebrate Negroni Week 2014 with some delicious cocktails for a cause!

Monday, June 2nd from 4-7p.m.

410 SW Broadway
Portland, OR

Just come on down! The event is not ticketed and is open to the public.

About Negroni Week:
In the summer of 2013, Imbibe Magazine launched Negroni Week, a celebration of one of the world’s great cocktails and an effort to raise money for charitable causes around the world. Now in its second year, Imbibe has teamed up with Campari to present Negroni Week 2014. From June 2-8, bars across the U.S. (and some around the world) will be mixing Negronis and donating a portion of proceeds from each one sold to a charity of their choice.
