The Chef, The Winemaker, and You at Elder Hall

rstuartHello Friends,

Last week we told you about a very exciting lunchtime event with Portland’s very own Jason French of Ned Ludd.

Together we (Jason, Rob, Trish, me, and you) will gather in Portland’s Elder Hall, to prepare a meal together (yes, we’ll all be in the kitchen working alongside the chef – cool!) as we talk food and wine.

This is a unique opportunity to cook with a great Chef. Some of you have already responded, but since there are a few seats left, (30 people max), I thought I’d share this menu with you right away.

The Chef, The Winemaker, and You
Sunday, November 2nd – 12:30pm
$75 per person, $65 for Wine Club members
Reserve your spot: 503-472-4477 or reply to this e-mail

smoked ham, mild mustard

squash fritters, maple butter

minestra of autumn vegetables, gremolata

chicories, parsley, apples, sprouted legumes, cider vinaigrette
lamb, braised kale, creamy caper sauce, roasted autumn vegetables, sage, walnuts

chocolate cake, candied squash, caramel

Wonderful, right? What I wouldn’t give for this perfect fall meal right now.

That said, I will happily wait a couple of weeks to fully enjoy this unique and very hands-on event with the Chef, the Winemaker, and You.

I can’t wait to see you.

–Maria Stuart

P.S. If you want to get in on this great afternoon, please call the Wine Bar at 503-472-4477 or email to reserve your spot. Thanks!
